Mirage Spa Education Canada has been providing Esthetician Courses to the Diploma level for years, at first operating in a traditional bricks-and-mortar school setting, then moving online.
Client
Recently the company decided to close the school down and concentrate on the web based courses. As such they realized that their Joomla based website was becoming increasingly difficult for them to update and make changes on their own, so they decided that it was time to redesign the web presence and make it easier for the client and staff to manage.
The Project
The old website was hosted on Go Daddy, restricting the ability to properly index the website for search engines, and limiting any proper development that would be required. As well, the Joomla-based code was old and needed updating, but the owners had issues with how difficult it was for the website to be updated, and published. Further, the company wanted to redo the brand.

The Solution
Black Chip Marketing first redeveloped the Mirage Spa registration form, making it simplier to naviagate, including upgrading the student administration section so it was more secure and efficient. We then moved the host over from GoDaddy to our own hosting account, set the system up for a WordPress CMS, and configured all the emails.
After choosing the proper theme, plugins, we began to do some custom CSS work, and along with a new colour plalate and logo, were able to give Mirage Spa Education a complete new look and feel. And for the owners, they loved the ease of use for updating the website, getting web stats, and having a totally new registration form that afforded more information on the database side.
